Wsu Scholarship – You may be wondering how to pay for college. Give us a hand. We give out about $170 million in grants, scholarships, and waivers annually. After being admitted to WSU, international students are immediately given scholarship consideration. Many other university rewards may also be available to you.
We provide more than 700 scholarship opportunities. You can apply once and be considered for all of them.
The deadline for submitting the WSU General Scholarship Application is January 31st, and it opens in the fall (often September).
To ensure that you are eligible for all of the awards offered, complete this application each year.

Western Sydney University recognizes and awards students who exhibit exceptional academic ability, great leadership, and community abilities through merit-based scholarships and The Academy.
There are also donor-funded scholarships available, which help students based on their academic performance and equality concerns.
Many of these scholarships also give recipients internship and mentoring opportunities. Moreover, scholarships are offered for particular programs.

How to Apply for Wsu Scholarship
Verify the location for your scholarship application. Certain awards, like the Academic Excellence Scholarships, are given out automatically.

And utilize the application link on each scholarship page to submit an application. You can be sent to the UAC Equity Scholarship Portal or our WSU Application Portal.

Once the pertinent closing date has passed, applications will be evaluated.
Please be aware that certain scholarships involve interview participation, in which case you will be contacted personally.

Worldwide Academic Award
These scholarships are automatically given to eligible applicants who are admitted by International Programs.
Students with less than one year of college credit are eligible for freshman awards, which are renewable for an additional three years.
Students who have achieved at least one year (27 semester hours) of transferable college credit are eligible for transfer awards, which are renewable for two more years.
Level 1 $4,000 in free tuition each academic year available to students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.60
At Level 2 $2,000 in free tuition each academic year Level 1 $4,000 in free tuition each academic year available to students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.60
Level 3 $2,000 in free tuition each academic year students with cumulative GPAs between 3.30 and 3.59 are eligible.
If you satisfy the renewal requirements listed below for each academic year, the International Academic Awards are automatically renewed for the durations specified above.

Global Year One Advancement Award
By the end of the spring semester, keep your cumulative grade point average at least 3.2. Get 24-semester credits by the end of the spring semester, or maintain 12 credits per semester.
Keep your position as a non-resident student pursuing a degree.
Students with cumulative GPAs between 3.30 and 3.59 are eligible.
If you satisfy the renewal requirements listed below for each academic year, the International Academic Awards are automatically renewed for the durations specified above:

Additional Awards and Scholarships
Awarded for international merit: a semester-long tuition waiver of $2,000
Eligibility
Available to degree-seeking F-1 undergraduate students who are enrolled at the Pullman campus and meet at least one of the following requirements:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher and at least 12 WSU credits, or
- The past two years have seen unusual service to the university or community, or
- Other noteworthy work or accomplishments over the previous two years

- A letter of reference attesting to your accomplishment or service from a supervisor, professor, or program administrator

Award for Emergency Tuition Assistance
International Programs provide students who experience a financial need due to events beyond their control.
while enrolled in school with a one-time, $1,500 tuition reduction emergency tuition help (amount is subject to change).
Eligibility
Only severe, unforeseen financial circumstances that are out of your control qualify for emergency tuition assistance. For instance:
- Loss of a scholarship or assistantship
- Financial setback brought on by death, major illness, or political unrest in your native nation
Moreover, you must fulfill the requirements listed below:
- Keep your F-1 or J-1 status at WSU
- Being a senior in your academic program
- Show that there are no alternative options for financing your education.
Students who have previously benefited from a WSU International Programs emergency tuition support award are ineligible. Other awards from international programs cannot be paired with this one.
The Best Way to Apply
- Apply for awards and scholarships for international programs.
- Fill out the certification of financial status (pdf) and attach any supporting documentation that is available. To send this, email international@wsu.edu.
- Explain fully the unforeseeable circumstances that led to the money shortage.
- Provide a brief supporting letter from your academic advisor outlining your current academic standing and the time you anticipate needing to finish your degree.
