Fellowships are non-profit organization systems that provide help and benefits and Humboldt Research Fellowship is one of such. As you read through, we will show what they are all about and how to apply.
Humboldt Research Fellowship
Humboldt Research Fellowships for the 2024-2025 academic year are fully funded scholarships available to international students.
These scholarships are exclusively for postdoctoral studies. The fellowship covers a monthly stipend of 3,150 EUR and provides additional financial support for accompanying family members and related expenses.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation facilitates opportunities for highly qualified scientists and scholars from overseas who are in the early stages of their academic careers and have completed their doctoral degrees within the last four years.
This program allows them to engage in extensive research periods lasting from 6 to 24 months in Germany.
The research project is conducted in collaboration with academic hosts affiliated with research institutions in Germany.
Applicants have the freedom to select their own research topic and identify their host institution in Germany.
Prior to applying, it is essential to coordinate the research proposal, including details on the anticipated duration of the fellowship, with the prospective host. Please note that short-term visits for educational purposes or conference attendance are not eligible for sponsorship.
