Echoing Green Fellowship

Echoing Green Fellowship

Echoing Green backs visionary individuals from across the globe who envision opportunities even in the face of the most critical challenges our world confronts today.

Our collective aim is to shape a future that has yet to materialize: a world rid of racism and its extensive repercussions, where every individual can prosper.

This fellowship is designed for individuals whose initiatives are in their early stages and who possess expertise in the particular challenge they have chosen to address.

They are looking for leaders who mirror the communities they serve and who bring a profound understanding of these issues into their work, collaborating with and for their communities to create solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

2. Proficiency in English: Fluency in the English language is essential.

3. Originality and Independence: Organizations must originate from the applicant’s own innovative idea, be in their startup phase, and operate independently and autonomously.

4. Full-Time Commitment: Applicants are required to dedicate a minimum of 35 hours per week to developing their organization throughout the two-year fellowship.

It is expected that selected fellows resign from their current employment to fully focus on their initiatives.

Fellowship stipends for students will not be granted if their organization is put on hold due to conflicts with their academic studies.

5. Partnerships Welcome: Partnerships, that involve organizations led by two individuals, are encouraged to apply.

Both partners must commit to a full-time engagement of no less than 35 hours per week in advancing the organization.

6. International Applicants: Applicants can be citizens of any nationality, and their organizations can be based in any country.

However, non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents without legal authorization to work in the United States are not permitted to conduct any fellowship-related activities within the United States.

7. Mandatory Conferences: Applicants must commit to attending Echoing Green’s training conferences if selected as fellows.

New fellows are expected to participate in a conference in the year they are chosen and in subsequent conferences for the following three years.

Echoing Green covers all expenses related to these events, with conference dates announced several months in advance.
