1. AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls
Scholarship type: National Level
Application Period: Between August and October
Eligibility Criteria
1. This scholarship opportunity is available to female students who have gained admission to the first year or second year (through lateral entry) of a diploma/degree program at an institution recognized by AICTE.
2. The family’s annual income should not exceed INR 8 lakh from all sources.
3. The scholarship is applicable for up to two female children per family.

Rewards
A fixed amount of INR 50,000 per year will be provided as a lump sum to cover college fees, and expenses for purchasing computers, stationeries, books, equipment, software, and other related items.
2. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students
Scholarship Type: National Level
Application Period: Between July and October
Eligibility Criteria
1. To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must be enrolled in a regular course at Colleges/Institutions recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the relevant Regulatory Bodies.
2. They should have achieved a score above the 80th percentile among successful candidates in their respective stream from the board examination in Class 12 of the 10+2 pattern or its equivalent.
3. Their annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4.5 lakh, and they should not already receive any other scholarship.
Application Process: You can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Rewards
1. The scholarship amount for the undergraduate (graduation) level is INR 10,000 per year.
2. For the postgraduate level, the scholarship amount is INR 20,000 per year.
3. For a 5-year professional course, the scholarship amount is INR 20,000 per year specifically in the 4th and 5th years.
4. This scholarship scheme is known as the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) and is available for students from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
3. National Means Cum Merit Scholarship
Scholarship Type: National Level
Application Period: Between July and October
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be currently studying in Class 9 at Government, Government-aided, and local body schools.
- To be eligible, they should have achieved a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in both Class 9 and Class 10.
- Additionally, the annual family income of the applicants must not exceed INR 3.5 lakh from all sources. It’s important to note that there is a relaxation of 5% in the qualification criteria for SC/ST students.

4. AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme
Scholarship Type: National Level
Application Period: Between August and October
Eligibility Criteria
- This scholarship is available for students with disabilities, where the disability level should be 40% or higher.
- These students must have gained admission to the first year of a technical degree/diploma course at an institution recognized by AICTE.
- The total annual income of the student’s family should not exceed INR 8 lakh from all sources.

Selection Process: The selection of the candidates will be based on their academic merit.
5. Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships
Scholarship Type: External
Application Period: Between February and March
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- They must have been born on or after 2nd April 1999.
- Candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling in countries other than Japan.
- Proficiency in Japanese is required, and candidates must be willing to learn it.
- Submission of a health certificate in the prescribed format is mandatory.
- Applicants should plan to arrive in Japan between 1st April 2024 and 7th April 2024.
- They must hold newly issued student visas.
It is important you note that:
- Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in the Japanese language.
- Candidates who meet the above conditions by March 2024 are eligible to apply.
- Military personnel or military civilian employees at the time of their arrival in Japan or during the scholarship payment are not eligible.
- Students who have already received MEXT scholarships are not eligible.
- Candidates unable to arrive in Japan by the last date of joining the host institution are not eligible.
- Candidates already enrolled in other Japanese Government (MEXT) programs are not eligible.
- Students with existing ‘student’ visas for Japan and enrolled in any institution/university in Japan are not eligible.
- Candidates planning to apply for or have received scholarships from any other organization in Japan are not eligible.
