About JRF Scholarship

This prize is intended to inform, inspire, and challenge.

A public, nonprofit organization called the Jackie Robinson Foundation is in charge of one of the best leadership and scholarship initiatives for talented college students in the nation.

In 1973, Rachel Robinson started it as a way to pay tribute to her late husband.

With the Jackie Robinson Museum set to open in New York City in 2022, the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) will educate and inspire the general public about the ideals embodied in the life of its namesake.

Jackie Robinson Foundation

JRF sponsors and institutional partners offer JRF Scholars beneficial employment opportunities, including internships, full-time jobs, and exposure to a sizable professional network.

JRF staff members engage one-on-one with businesses, community leaders, governmental agencies, and other employers to identify “good match” job opportunities and prepare Scholars to become leaders in a global economy.

Community Service Requirement

JRF Scholars are obligated to take part in community service projects throughout their JRF program.

Scholars are obliged to keep all records on file with JRF staff and to document all aspects of their service projects.

The countless projects and hours of labor completed each year have an influence on the lives of thousands of individuals who benefit from the skills and confidence that JRF Scholars gain as a result of their efforts.
