About UNILAG

With its main office in Akoka, Lagos State, the Institution of Lagos (UNILAG) is a prestigious institution in Nigeria.

One of Nigeria’s five first-generation universities, the organization was founded in 1962. In the Lagos Mainland, there are now three campuses.

The main campus in Akoka and the recently constructed campus at the former School of Radiography are both in Yaba, but the college’s medical school is located in Idi-Araba in Surulere.

Its primary site, which covers 802 acres, was mainly encompassed by the Lagos lagoon. UNILAG has continued to be one of the most competitive institutions in the nation for admissions.

The University of Lagos has received formal certification and/or recognition from Nigeria’s National Universities Commission (NUC).

UNILAG Admission Requirements For 2024

The requirements for people wishing to apply for admission to UNILAG through JAMB (UTME) are as follows:

1. A minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than one (1) sitting.

2. You must choose the proper JAMB subject combination for your course.

3. Candidates must achieve a score of at least 200 on the recently concluded JAMB UTME exam in order to be accepted into the University of Lagos.

4. Your first pick for a university ought to be UNILAG.

5. You must take part in the UNILAG POST UTME/SCREENING to be eligible for admission, if any, is offered for the year.

6. Candidate age must be at least sixteen.

UNILAG Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) 2024

Candidates seeking admission to the University of Lagos through Direct Entry must meet the requirements listed below:

1. A minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than one (1) sitting.

2. Candidates must have completed two ‘A’ level or IJMB courses in subjects related to their field of study.

3. Passes JUPEB/A Level exams in pertinent subjects.

4. A degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related field is required for your chosen course.

5. Direct entry applicants must obtain the UNILAG Direct Entry form from the UNILAG Portal and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

6. Passed with a minimum of merit the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.
