About the NDA

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), located in Kaduna, is the only military institution in Nigeria.

The goal of the NDA is to develop officers who have a comprehensive base of knowledge in both military and academic fields so that they can build on that knowledge as Nigerian Armed Forces officers improve in the future.

The goal of NDA is to provide each officer cadet with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to meet the requirements of a military officer through military, intellectual, and character development.

Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Admission Requirements

The Nigerian Defence Academy NDA has the following entrance standards that you must meet in order to enroll in any respectable program:

1. Choose NDA as your first and foremost institution before looking at any other possibilities.

2. Obtain a minimum of 5 credit passes in English and mathematics in no more than two sittings in the SSCE or its equivalent, both of which must be relevant to their chosen subject.

3. You must be at least 17 years old and no older than 21 at the time of enrolment.

4.With the exception of the College of Engineering, where only one supporting credit is needed, you must have at least two relevant supporting credits in the faculty of your choice in addition to the mandatory credits.

5. Both men and women must be at least 1.50 meters tall.

6. Be a single person who is not required by law or obligation to support any children or other people.

7. Be morally upright and in good health, both physically and medically.

8. Bring a certificate of origin issued by the local government.
