Taking this into consideration, the Government of India has initiated a new scholarship scheme called PM Yashasvi Scheme.

The implementation of this scheme is effectively managed by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJ&E), with support from the National Testing Agency (NTA), established by the Central Government.

It’s worth noting that the NTA’s role involves organizing efficient and transparent standardized tests for admission to premier higher education institutions across the country.

The objective of PM Yashasvi Scholarship

The primary goal of the PM Yashasvi Scheme, introduced by the Central Government, is to motivate talented students from underprivileged and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue their education.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, efficiently manage the operation of this scholarship scheme.

Through this program, financial support is extended to students belonging to categories like Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Non-Notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT/NT/SNT).

Benefits of the PM Yashasvi Scholarship

1. This initiative aims to provide financial aid to meritorious students belonging to categories like Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Non-Notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT/NT/SNT) across the country.

2. The scheme specifically benefits students in Class 9th and Class 11th by offering scholarships at two different levels.

3. Eligible Class 9th students receive financial assistance in the form of a scholarship amounting to Rs 75,000 per year, while Class 11th students are provided with Rs 125,000 per year.

To avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits, candidates must pass the computer-based entrance test, which is conducted transparently by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Applications have been invited from students by the NTA to participate in this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

4. Click on the “Create Account” option to complete your registration successfully.

5. Upon completion, you will receive a system-generated application number. Be sure to keep this number safe for future reference.
