About Lautech
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), a distinguished institution of higher learning, operates autonomously with the primary mission of providing comprehensive higher education and conducting research in Nigeria.
Established on April 23, 1990, under the former Oyo State, it was initially named Oyo State University of Technology, Ogbomoso (OSUTECH).
Following the creation of Osun State from the Old Oyo State in 1991, the university’s name was changed to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH).
Until November 20, 2020, LAUTECH was jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States. However, through a mutual agreement between the two states, the university became solely owned by Oyo State on that date.
