Eligibility Criteria 

The following qualifying requirements must be met by the applicant in order to be considered for this scholarship program:

  • The candidates must be members of the SC/ST, Minority Muslims, or Christians.
  • They must have lived in Tamil Nadu their entire lives and be native inhabitants.
  • Candidates may apply for the ADTW scholarship if they are enrolled in classes from I to Ph.D.
  • The distance between the school or college and the applicant’s domicile must be greater than five kilometers. However, girls are exempt from this criterion.
  • Female candidates may have a five-kilometer commute from their residence to their school or institution.
  • The annual family income should not be more than INR 2,00,000.
  • Candidates who want to attend prestigious universities should have passed the prior qualifying exam.
  • The students had to have attended adi dravidar welfare, GTR, government, or government-aided institutions of higher learning.

ADW Scholarship Rewards Details 

According to their degree of education, the candidates will get the following fundamental awards:

Schools 

  • The following ADW scholarship incentives will be provided by the government to female students:
  • Students in classes III through V who are female SC/ST members would receive INR 500 annually.
  • Class VI SC/ST women students would receive INR 1,000 annually from the Adi Dravidar Tribal Welfare.
  • Class VII and VIII SC/ST female students would receive INR 1,500 annually.
  • The ADW scholarship would provide INR 1,850 to class X students whose parents work in dirty occupations.
  • The cost of schooling, special fees, application fees, registration fees, and examination fees would all be covered by the government.
  • One thousand boys and one thousand girls who scored highly on the Class XII board exam will be chosen by the welfare and given INR 3,000 each year for five years.
  • Class IX and X day scholars would receive INR 2,250 annually to help with their educational costs.
  • For their education, hosts in classes IX and X would get INR 4,500 annually.

For College Students 

  • TUnder the higher education ADW scholarship program, the government offers INR 7,500 to students enrolled in polytechnic and undergraduate programs.
  • The postgraduate and professional course students would receive INR 8,000 annually.
  • Students in self-financing colleges are also eligible for an ADW scholarship amount from the state government.
  • A lump-sum payment of INR 50,000 will be given to recent law graduates to help them launch their careers.
