While any graduate student, whether enrolled or not, may be recommended for this fellowship, consideration is given to those who have successfully completed a McNair program and have been admitted to The University of Alabama‘s doctoral program.

Conference and Research Funding

Graduate-level research projects and travel to conferences to discuss research findings are supported in part by the Graduate School. One conference request and one research request are the most that students may submit each year (a “year” is defined as Fall/Spring/Summer).

Students can submit requests to the Graduate School starting on March 20, 2023, by logging onto the UA Grad Student Portal. Students should choose “Funding” and then “CRF Request Form” after logging in. To fill out the form, adhere to the on-screen instructions.

Alumni Heritage Graduate Scholarship (AHGS)

For qualified graduate students enrolled in graduate programs at particular universities, the Alumni Heritage Graduate Financial (AHGS) program is a merit-based financial program.
