Pragati Scholarship
Pragati Scholarship is an official scholarship program run by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A total of 5,000 scholarships are awarded annually under this scholarship program to deserving female students who wish to pursue technical education.
Each year, the recipients of the scholarships receive an award of INR 50,000. The Pragati Scholarship program has helped thousands of female students since it began in the academic year 2014–15.

Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Pragati Scholarship, female candidates need to meet the following criteria set by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education):

2. The admission should be in the 1st year or 2nd year (only through lateral entry) in the current academic year.

4. Only two girls per family are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
5. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 8 lakh in the previous financial year.

While filling out the Pragati Scholarship application form, applicants must have the following essential documents on hand. Scanned copies of these documents are required to complete the application process:
1. Mark sheet of Class 10th
2. Mark sheet of Class 12th
3. Annual family income certificate of the preceding financial year in the prescribed format issued by Tehsildar or a competent authority
4. Admission letter issued by the Centralized Admission Authority for the current academic year’s first-year Degree/Diploma program
5. Receipt of paid tuition fee for the current academic year
6. Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook displaying the applicant’s name, account number, IFSC code, and a photograph affixed at an appropriate place, duly signed by the bank manager with the bank’s rubber stamp
7. Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/HOD in the prescribed format
8. Attested copy of the caste certificate (if applicable) for SC/ST/OBC category applicants
9. A declaration duly signed by parents, stating that the information provided by the applicant is accurate and acknowledging the refund of the scholarship amount if any false information is discovered at any stage, in the prescribed format
10. Aadhaar card
11. Passport-sized photograph of the applicant

Selection Process
Selection for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship is based on the merit exhibited by the applicants in the qualifying examination for admission into an AICTE-approved college or institution offering technical courses.
During the selection process for the Pragati Scholarship, a certain percentage of seats are reserved for different categories of candidates.
Specifically, 15% of the total seats are reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) candidates, 7.5% for ST (Scheduled Tribe) candidates, and 27% for OBC (Other Backward Class) candidates.
Terms and Conditions
The Pragati Scholarship has specific terms and conditions that applicants should take into consideration. These conditions are highlighted below:
1. Only students who have enrolled in the first year of a degree or diploma program in the current academic year are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
2. When filling out the application form, applicants must upload scanned copies of their passport-sized photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. The photo file should not exceed 200 kb, while the signature file should not exceed 50 kb.
3. Students admitted through the management quota are not eligible to apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
4. Applicants must have a general savings account in a bank. FRILL/Minor/Joint accounts cannot be used.
5. The scholarship amount is transferred directly to the selected candidate’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
6. In the event that eligible applicants are not available in any particular degree or diploma program, the scholarships can be transferred to other eligible candidates in the respective degree or diploma level program.
