Scholars Program for African Students: Applications for financing possibilities for African students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees overseas are opened every year. These Scholars Program for African Students are being provided by organizations and institutions all throughout the world, including those in Africa.

1. AAUW International Fellowships
Deadline: December 1st
The American Association of University Women provides up to $30,000 in annual scholarships to women from Latin America, Asia, or Africa who have earned bachelor’s degrees in the United States but are not citizens of that nation (AAUW).
After graduation, recipients must commit to returning home to establish themselves as leaders in the industry, academia, activism, politics, the arts, and sciences to advance the status of women.

2. Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarships
Deadline: March 31st
Outstanding young scholars from developing nations who are under 30 and have a strong financial need to pursue master’s or doctorate degree programs abroad in the United States are given a small number of foreign scholarships each year by the Aga Khan Foundation.

3. AWS International Scholarship
Deadline: April 1st
The American Welding Society (AWS) provides full-time international students from Africa, Asia, Europe, or South America with up to $3,000 in scholarships for those who are enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate welding science programs.
Also, candidates must be seeking at least a bachelor’s degree, rank in the top 20% of their university’s grade distribution, have at least one year of welding experience, and be able to demonstrate that they are citizens of a nation other than the United States.

4. Coca-Cola Africa Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: October 31st
Having completed a two- or four-year college program and having a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or more are the minimum qualifications for applicants. They must also have the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.

5. Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists Fellowships
Deadline: March 31st
The Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation for Journalists Fellowships is available each year for individuals from developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean who are 25 to 35 years old and want to spend up to three months in New York City reporting for the UN.
The requirements for applicants include having a solid command of the English language, working full-time in media companies as professional journalists, and submitting samples of their work.

7. Gwendolen M. Carter/PAS-NU Fellowships
Deadline: January 15th
This was done to draw a varied learning community to expand its cutting-edge research initiatives.
A recognized post-secondary program that is equal to a bachelor’s degree in the United States must have been completed by applicants, who must also show high academic achievement and English language ability.

8. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
Deadline: October 1st
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is offered by the U.S. Department of State to graduate students in Africa who are interested in developing their leadership abilities in public service at host U.S. institutions with a competitive stipend.
It is named in honor of a champion for human rights. Candidates must meet certain requirements, including having an undergraduate degree, little to no prior U.S. experience, five years of full-time professional experience, and English language proficiency.

9. International Association of Black Actuaries Scholarship
Deadline: May 15th
The following requirements must be met by applicants: they must be of African heritage, pay IABA membership dues, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, have an SAT math score of at least 600, and be IABA members.
