Ohio State University is a public institution founded in 1870. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 46,123 (fall 2022), and the campus covers 1,714 acres.

It follows a semester-based academic calendar. The Ohio State University is ranked #43 in the 2024 edition of Best Colleges under National Universities. Tuition & fees for in-state students are $12,485, while out-of-state students pay $36,722.

OSU offers over 200 undergraduate programs, as well as a Personalized Study Program that allows students to construct their own atypical education.

The institution also provides a wide range of graduate degrees through highly ranked colleges such as the College of Education and Human Ecology, Max M. Fisher College of Business, and College of Medicine.

Students can join more than 1,000 on-campus clubs and organizations, including more than 60 fraternities and sororities, or volunteer through the Pay It Forward initiative.

Sports are an important element of school life, and the Ohio State University Buckeyes compete in the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference.

International candidates to Ohio State University must pay an application fee of USD 70. The applicants must meet the Ohio State University application deadlines in order to be admitted.

Tuition Fees and  Eligibility

In order to be admitted, applicants must meet The Ohio State University’s entry standards. Admission standards for undergraduate and graduate courses are as follows:

Undergraduate Admission

1. High school performance (Class rank or GPA). The Ohio State University does not have minimum requirements for GPA or class rank

2. SAT or ACT score (if applicable)

3. A holistic review is conducted prior to admissions, which means that in addition to a strong academic profile, students must have experience demonstrating leadership or engaged involvement, demonstration of outstanding talent in a specific area, desire and ability to contribute to and engage with a diverse campus community, and so on.

Graduate Admission

1. The equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s or advanced degree from an approved college or university, achieved before the expiry date of enrollment into the selected graduate program

2. A minimum of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent) in the most recent bachelor’s or advanced degree.

3. Transcripts or other credentials demonstrating that the applicants have completed prerequisite academic work.

4. GMAT/GRE scores (if relevant)
