The state government of Lagos, Nigeria, owns and operates the Lagos State University (LASU), a university.

In 1983, Lagos State University (LASU) was established under the Lagos State Enabling Law of Nigeria with the goals of fostering learning and fostering academic achievement. Lagos State University has received official certification from the Nigerian National Universities Commission (NUC) and/or recognition.

The university offers diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs as well. LASU is the sole state university in the once-British territory.

How to Gain Admission Into LASU

Here are some tips for getting into LASU efficiently.

You must have earned no more than two sittings of WAEC or NECO with a minimum of five credits at the first sitting.
JAMB scores should be high.
Apply to less competitive courses if your UTME score is low.
Consider two courses, such as professional courses or career courses, for supplementary purposes.

LASU’s 2024 Requirements for Admission

The criteria for applicants who seek to be admitted to LASU through JAMB (UTME) are listed below:

The Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits must be completed with a minimum of 5 credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
You must decide which JAMB subject combination is best for your course.
Candidates need to have a minimum UTME score of 190 to be accepted into Lagos State University.
Your top college preference needs to be LASU.
You must participate in the LASU POST UTME/SCREENING to be eligible for admission if any is offered for the year.
A minimum age of 16 is required for applicants.

LASU’s Cut Off Point for Admission

The cut-off score for the 2024 academic session admission process administration has been released by Lagos State University (LASU).

Candidates who choose Lagos State University as the institution of choice in the most recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored at least 190 points are qualified to take part in the online admission screening exercise.
