About Presidency University
UGC recognizes Presidency University Kolkata, founded in 1817, as an Institution of National Eminence.
It was founded as a university in July 2010 after serving for over a century as a prominent constituent college of Calcutta University.
The NAAC has granted Presidency University an “A” grade of accreditation. The university offers UG, PG, and PhD degrees in arts and science specializations through its 17 departments.
The Presidency University grants admission to all of its courses based on the grades obtained on the entrance exam or the merit of the most recent qualifying exam.

Admissions
Entrance tests administered by WBJEE, such as PUBDET for UG admission 2024 and PUMDET for PG admission 2024, are the basis for admission to Presidency University Kolkata.
In order to be admitted to doctoral courses, universities administer Ph.D. entrance exams. For PG entrance, students need to have a bachelor’s degree, and for research-level PhD admission, they need to have a master’s degree.

Application Procedure
1. Go to the WBJEE official website.
2. The PUBDET application form is for candidates choosing the UG program, while the PUMDET entrance test application form is for candidates choosing the PG program.
3. For additional information about Ph.D. programs, go to the university’s official website.
4. Please register by completing all the required fields.
5. Upload the necessary scanned copies of your signature, photo, and papers.
6. The 500/-rs application fee must be paid online either Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
7. To pass the exam in question, show up.
8. Once the originals have been verified and the payments have been paid, reserve your seat.

| Priyamvada Birla Scholarship | This scholarship will be awarded to a total of 25 students pursuing full-time degree courses (Graduation) in General Discipline in any college or institution in West Bengal.
Annual Family income from all sources is Rs. 75,000 or less are eligible to apply for the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship. |
| Sambhava Foundation Scholarship | Candidates should have a minimum of 80% marks in aggregate (best of five) and respective subject obtained at HS/ISC/CBSC or 60% at UG for those who are pursuing postgraduation.
The total income of the family should not exceed Rs. 1.2 lakhs per year. |
| Harsh & Payal Hada Foundation | This foundation presents scholarships to support meritorious students from weaker sections of society to pursue their higher education.
This scholarship is for students pursuing XI, XII, Graduation, Post Graduation.
For this scholarship, candidate selection will be based on a screening process and interview.
This scholarship is for girls students who have obtained above 80% and boys above 85% in Class X and XII.
