PM Scholarship 2024: The Welfare and Rehabilitation Board, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS).

PM Scholarship Scheme Overview 2024
82,000 students will get financial aid through the Pradhan Mantri Yojana, Modi Scholarship (PMSS), with equal amounts going to males and girls. Scholarships will be given to deserving students each year from all throughout the nation.
It is operated by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India’s Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sainik Board Secretariat (KSB PMSS- www.ksb.gov.in).

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant will not be permitted to submit an application or receive the scholarship award if they do not meet the requirements. Only those who meet the requirements will receive the scholarship money and its privileges.
The candidate must be a dependent ward or widow of a deceased CAPF or AR, an ex-CAPF or AR, a retired or currently employed CAPF or AR, or a State Police employee.
The applicant ought to be enrolled in professional programs.
Class 12, a diploma, or a degree should be the minimal educational need to apply for these courses.
The candidates must have attained the required educational qualification with at least 60% or higher. The Candidates must score at least 50% on the qualifying exam in order to be renewed in consecutive years.
According to a recent decision by the Indian government, the scholarship program would also provide financial aid to the children of State Police officers who were killed in Naxal or terrorist assaults. The children of State Police employees would get a total of 500 rupees in scholarships each year.
NOT ELIGIBLE ARE WARDS OF CIVILIAN PEOPLE, INCLUDING PARAMILITARY PERSONNEL.
PM Scholarship Eligible Courses
First Professional Degree Programs such as BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, B.Ed, B.B.A, BCA, B.Pharma, etc. that have been properly recognized by the relevant Government Regulatory Bodies, such as the All India Council for Technical Education, the Medical Council of India, the University Grants Commission, etc.
Except for MBA and MCA courses, master’s degree programs are not eligible for PMSS. This program is not available to students who are studying abroad. Under PMSS, no distance learning courses are allowed. PMSS is only available for ONE COURSE.
Application Procedure
For this program, candidates may submit their applications online. For the school year, candidates must submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal. Let’s now go over the application process for the PM Scholarship, step by step.
- Visit the NSP’s official website at scholarships.gov.in.
- The “New Registration” link should be selected.
- Click on continue to proceed after carefully reading the application guidelines.
- Click “Register” after entering all the necessary information.
- Your mobile number will be used to generate your user ID and password after you register.
- With your user ID and password, log in
- Utilize the application id and password you obtained on your registered mobile number to log into the site.
- For a successful login, an OTP will be created on your registered mobile number.
- Change the password and confirm the OTP.
- Fill out the scholarship application form after logging in.
- A scanned copy of each supporting document should be uploaded.
- submit the application at the end.
Documents Required to Apply for PM Scholarship
Following completion of the application procedure, candidates should be aware of the supporting documentation required to be submitted in order to be considered for the Prime Minister Scholarship 2022 Scheme.

- Serving Certificate issued by HOO Certificate issued by the appropriate state government showing that State Police personnel was murdered in Naxal/Terrorist assaults
- Certificate of Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) as appropriate, including mark sheets for the Class 12th, Graduation (for all years), or Diploma (for all semesters).

Rewards
The relevant information a candidate should know includes the amount each candidate will earn under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme and how long the scholarships will be awarded.
This program provides benefits to 5500 eligible candidates overall each year. Additionally, these scholarships are split 2750 each between boys and females.
Additionally, the scholarship payment is Rs. 3000 per month for ladies and Rs. 2500 per month for boys each year.
Additionally, depending on your course span, the scholarship’s term may range from one year to five years.
Renewal
While the first installment of the PM scholarship will be awarded to the chosen students as soon as the merit list is announced, the subsequent payments are only made if the scholar petitioned for the scholarship renewal at the conclusion of each academic year.
The candidate can submit an online renewal application in the same manner as a new one. Although an applicant must meet a number of requirements before applying for renewal, these requirements include:
- The candidate must get at least 50% of the possible points in each semester or academic year.
- Candidates must successfully complete each year’s or semester’s curriculum in a single sitting.
Candidates may submit an application for renewal within a year following the announcement of the merit list at any time during the year, with the exception of the months of January through April.
