Tezpur University

Central University Tezpur is situated in the Indian state of Assam in the northeast. The institution was founded in 1994 and has received recognition from the UGC and an A accreditation from the NAAC.

Tezpur University is ranked 351-400 in the QS Asian University Rankings 2023, 69th in the university category, and 93rd in the management category by NIRF 2023.

The university has four schools, including the School of Engineering, the School of Management Sciences, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the School of Sciences, with a total of 27 departments.

Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering, and Management are among the subjects in which Tezpur University provides UG, PG, PG Diploma, and PhD programs.

The CUET exam is used to determine admission to undergraduate programs at Tezpur University.

The university takes JEE Main and GATE exams for admission to BTech and MTech programs, respectively. For admission to all PG, PG Diploma, and PhD programs, Tezpur University administers its own entrance exam, known as the TUEE.

Through its Center For Open And Distance Learning (CODL), the university provides distance learning courses in addition to normal full-time courses.

Placement for Tezpur University 2022–2023 is now underway; 48 participating organizations have extended placement offers to engineering students thus far.

Reviews indicate that Tezpur University has a placement rate of between 65–70%. The university offers packages starting at INR 13 LPA and going up to INR 5 LPA on average.

Programs

The University provides UG and PG programs, such as BTech, BEd, Integrated Programs, PhD, MTech, MSc, MA, and PG Diploma and Certificate programs.

Popular courses offered include MBA, BTech, and B.Ed. All of these courses have entry requirements. Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exams from an accredited board with a minimum of 60% aggregate to be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. and BTech. programs.

A legitimate bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50% is also required for admission to the MBA program.

Admissions

Admission to Tezpur University is determined by entrance. CUET-UG/TUEE, JEE-Mains, MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT GATE, and other entrance examinations are approved.

Applicants can use the university’s official website to apply if they meet the requirements for the selected course. Additionally, the selection process differs for every course.

Applicants with a CUET-UG score who wish to be admitted must complete the CUET application and designate Tezpur University as their first choice of admission. Applicants for PhD, BTech, and PG programs must complete the Tezpur University application form as follows:

1. Go to the official website and fill out the “Sign Up” form to register.

2. Click “Apply Now” to continue filling out the application form after registering.

3. Choose a preferred course and an entrance criterion.

4. Enter the necessary information.

5. After selecting “Payment and Final Submission,” make the application fee payment.

5. Print off the completed application form.

Placement

Placements at Tezpur University are handled by the university’s Placement Cell. Tezpur University’s placement rate is between 60 and 70 percent.

The university’s graduating class has been placed in R&D labs, NGOs, Central Government organizations, Press & Media, Educational Institutes, Core Engineering industries, IT & IT-enabled services, Manufacturing Industries, Consultancy Firms, Finance Companies, and Management Organizations.

The Tezpur University 2023 placement campaign is still going on. A total of 48 businesses have offered engineering students placements thus far. The university offers packages starting at INR 13 LPA and going up to INR 5 LPA on average.
