Eligibility Criteria
You can submit your application for the 2024 Fellowship cohort if you meet the following criteria:
1. Graduated on or before June/July 2024.
2. This is your initial application for the 2024 Fellowship cohort, and you haven’t applied since July 2023.
3. You are either an Indian citizen or hold Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) status.
The Fellowship Selection Process
The process of selecting Fellowship candidates consists of three stages.
Stage One: Application Form
Begin by presenting yourself, discussing your academic and professional background, as well as your interests, past experiences, and the reasons behind your desire to be part of the Fellowship.
Since Fellows teach in English, an online English Assessment is included in the online application to assess your language proficiency.
Stage Two: Phone Interview
For certain applicants, we seek additional information, which we gather through a 30-minute telephone interview.
Stage Three: Assessment Centre
This marks the last phase of the selection process! During this stage, you will interact with Teach For India and fellow applicants by participating in various activities, which include sample teaching, critical thinking exercises, a group task, and an interview.
Application Deadlines
The Fellowship’s selection process consists of several stages for each cohort.
You are allowed to submit one application per cohort, which means if you applied for the 2024 cohort starting from July 2023, you cannot reapply until July 2024 for the subsequent cohort.
After you have submitted your application, we will reach out to you via email within 10 business days to inform you of the application outcome and provide any further instructions if necessary.
