The Scotiabank National Scholarship
The mission of the 2024 Scotiabank national scholarship is to honor Canadian and international students who are committed to pursuing their academic ambitions while studying in Canada.
By helping students with the costs of their education, it also tries to relieve their financial burdens. The winners of this scholarship will have the chance to take home a sizeable award worth $80,000.

Scholarship Benefits
For 15 eligible students, Scotiabank offers a $5,000 award. Additionally, if you submit your application before September, you’ll have the option to enter a drawing for a chance to win one of the five early-bird prizes, each worth $1,000.

Scotiabank National Scholarship 2024 Application Deadline

Award Amount
A $50,000 scholarship is available through the Scotiabank National Scholarship. Additionally, there are five thousand dollars in early bird pricing and eighteen (18) $2,500 Scholarships available.
Selection Criteria
The following factors are taken into account throughout the scholarship selection process:
- Exhibited distinction in academic achievement.
- The applicant’s need for money.
- Recognition of services rendered to the Black community.
- Other requirements established by the scholarship donor, such as the university attended or the subject of study.
Eligibility Criteria for Scotiabank National Scholarship
The main goal of the Scotiabank National Scholarship is to aid qualified Yconic members who fit the requirements for qualifying.
- People who are eligible include Canadian citizens, residents of Canada who are in their permanent residence, and foreign students who have a visa that is authorized to stay in the country for at least one year.
- To be eligible to apply, candidates must be at least 16 years old.
- Students who plan to enroll in a degree, certificate, or diploma program at a Canadian university, college, or trade school during the academic year 2024/2025 are eligible for the scholarship, which is available to high school or CEGEP students.
- Post-secondary students who are enrolled in or getting ready to enroll in a degree, certificate, or diploma program at a Canadian university, college, or trade school in the course of the school year 2024/2025 are also qualified.
