Pondicherry University is a central research university located in Kalapet, Puducherry. It is one of the best public universities in the world, ranking 1201-1400 according to the QS World University Rankings 2025.

Admission Process
Pondicherry University Admissions 2024 began with the application procedure for CUET UG this year. The central university offers a variety of integrated graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Science, Arts, Management, Commerce, and Law, among others.
Pondicherry University admits students to the bulk of its integrated PG and PG courses through the CUET UG and CUET PG exams.

Pondicherry University is conveniently located and easily accessible to Pondicherry residents and those from adjacent cities. It is located approximately 165 km south of Chennai.
