About POLAC

In Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria, there is a federal university called the Nigeria Police Academy (NPA).

The Federal Government of Nigeria approved a degree-granting institution the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, located in Kano State in 2012.

The Academy was also named the 124th university in Nigeria and the 37th federal university by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

POLAC UTME and Direct Entry Admission Requirements

1. Candidates must be citizens of Nigeria to be accepted into the Academy.

2. You must be aged between 17 and 22.

3. The minimum height requirements for men and women are 1.67 meters (5 feet 6 inches) and 1.62 meters (5 feet 4 inches), respectively.

Male applicants need to have a chest measurement of at least 86 cm (34 inches).

4. Any physical or mental abnormalities must not exist in any of the candidates.

Other POLAC Requirements

1. Candidates must have earned a minimum of SIX (6) credits on the West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) may also be used, but only in two sittings.

However, the candidate must also have earned credit passes in topics related to their selected line of study at the Academy, as well as English and math.

2. Additionally, candidates must perform well on the written test, perform well in the interview, and pass the physical and psychological fitness tests.

3. The Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board Interview is only open to candidates who pass the selection exam.

How to Join the Nigerian Police Academy

The Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination will be held when it is scheduled, and applicants who met the minimal UTME requirements stipulated by JAMB and paid for the Academy’s online application form would be able to participate.

  • Applications must be submitted online.
  • Following the submission of their applications, candidates must download the Acknowledgement Form.
  • Candidates may download and print their examination cards if their scores are at or above the national cutoff point.

How To Apply For The Nigerian Police Academy (POLAC)

They advise potential applicants to visit the Nigeria Police Academy’s website at www.polac.edu.ng to get or create a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code.

Any Nigerian commercial bank branch may accept a payment of N3,000.00 using the received RRR number.

Candidates must take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

Please remember that applicants do not have to list the Police Academy as their top choice on the JAMB form.
