Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), situated in Brambe, Ranchi, Jharkhand, is a central university established under Indian Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009.

Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), CUJ offers a variety of degree, diploma, and integrated programs in Arts, Science, Language, Commerce, Law, Education, and Management at the postgraduate and doctoral levels.

Admission to CUJ is based on entrance exams. The faculty at CUJ have received national and international fellowships and actively contribute to government, public, and private sector organizations through teaching and consulting.

The Brambe campus features 70 independent classrooms and teaching labs, a 450-seat auditorium, a research lab complex for Science and Engineering workshops, a computer lab, and a linguistics lab. The university also provides on-campus accommodation for students.

Admissions

The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) offers a variety of integrated (undergraduate and postgraduate), postgraduate, and PhD programs.

Admission to these programs is based on scores from the CUET UG for undergraduate programs and CUET PG for postgraduate programs. For PhD admission, candidates must take the Central University of Jharkhand Research Entrance Test (CUJRET).

The admission process at CUJ begins with online registration, but the rest of the process is completed offline.

The university will publish the list of shortlisted candidates on its website, and those selected must report to the university for in-person admission.

Admission fees are paid online through the registration portal. Candidates must bring all original documents and three sets of photocopies for verification and admission.

How to Apply

Applicants must first take the CUET UG and PG exams and then register on the CUJ website to begin the admission process.

After registering, proceed to the application stage by filling out the form with the correct details, including academic history, test scores, chosen course, and personal information.

Attach all required documents within the specified size limits.

A non-refundable registration fee of INR 800 is required for General, OBC, and EWS applicants, while SC/ST applicants must pay INR 400. Once the application is complete, print a copy for future reference.

3. Secondary School (Class 10th) Mark Sheet

4. Pass Certificate of Class 10th

5. Senior Secondary School (Class 12th) Mark Sheet or equivalent

6. Valid Certificate for Date of Birth

7. CUET- UG/PG application form

8. CUET- UG/PG admit card

9. Valid CUET scorecard

10. NOC from the employer, if applicable

11. Conduct Certificate from Head of Institution last attended (Original+2 photocopy)

12. Migration Certificate (Original+2 Xerox)

13. Transfer Certificate/College Leaving Certificate, as applicable (Original+2 photocopy)

14. Caste Certificates (ST/SC/OBC-NCL), EWS Certificates (if applicable, must be issued from the competent authority in GOI format)

15. Self-Declaration Form for those applying under the OBC-NCL category, if applicable

16. PWD/PH Certificate for those applying under the differently-abled category, (if applicable, must be issued from the competent authority in GOI format)

17. Certificate of being registered as Kashmiri Migrant & Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-migrants)

18. Certificate(s) related to Defence Category eligible for Supernumerary Quota, if applicable

19. Certificate(s) of representing International, National or State level in any sport/ game for those applying under sports quota, if applicable

Campus and Facilities

The Central University of Jharkhand campus spans 45 acres and houses 24 well-established departments. CUJ offers a diverse selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supported by an outstanding faculty.

To enhance the student experience, the university provides a range of excellent facilities, including a placement and training cell, a guesthouse, dedicated sports faculty, and a healthcare unit.

The Central University of Jharkhand offers a bus service for students, with routes available on the university’s official website.

CUJ also provides a robust sports program, with experienced faculty members supporting students in various sports and organizing championships.

Since 2011, the university has maintained a fully functional dispensary on both its old and new campuses. Additionally, CUJ provides hostel facilities to ensure the safety and security of its students.

Scholarships

The Central University of Jharkhand provides Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships to financially disadvantaged yet deserving students.

This scholarship supports 5,000 undergraduate students, with selection based on an aptitude test.
