  • The grant is open to students in grades 9 through 12.
  • Candidates must have received at least 50% of the available points in the prior class, or similar grades (aggregate).
  • The candidate’s annual household income from all sources cannot exceed INR 2 lakh.

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship – Key Documents

The applicants are recommended to have all the required paperwork on hand before beginning the registration process. Each file must be no larger than 200 KB and in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. The necessary documentation list for applicants is mentioned below.

  • The applicant’s most recent passport-size photo
  • Form of verification of attendance confirmed by the institution’s principal
  • Mark sheet from the most recent exam passed attested by the principal Parents’ or Guardians’ income certificate issued by an appropriate authority as reported by the State/UTs Administration.
  • Certificate of Minority Community Self-Declaration by the Applicant
  • A self-certified copy of the first page of the applicant’s bank or postal account passbook (either a joint account with her parents or a single account), which must be in her name.
  • A copy of the applicant’s Aadhaar card is required (in the absence of an Aadhaar card, applicants may provide a birth certificate, BPL card, or Rashan card).

Mode of Transfer

The scholarship award will be promptly deposited into the recipient’s bank accounts. The applicants can visit the relevant bank to check the scholarship amount. Any other method of payment for the MAEF scholarship, such as fee payment, account transfers to parents’ or guardians’ names, or payment by check or demand draft, is never permitted.

Terms And Conditions

To be eligible for this award, the candidate must adhere to the requirements listed below:-

  • According to the 2011 census, the scholarship amount will be distributed based on the minority population in each state and union territory.
  • The authorities reserve the right to periodically amend any rules.
  • If the scholarship is terminated once, it cannot be reinstated in any situation.
  • The scholarship will be canceled and the awarded sum will be recovered if the student provided any fraudulent information.
  • If there is a lapse in academic performance, the scholarship will be canceled.
  • A student is not eligible to apply for Begum Hazrat Mahal if they are already receiving a scholarship from the federal or state governments.
  • All applicants from the lowest income bracket will receive preference.
