About Rajasthan University
UNIRAJ, presently known as the University of Rajasthan, was founded in 1947 as the University of Rajputana.
This public state university is one of the oldest in Rajasthan. The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission.
NAAC has accredited the university with an A+ grade. Furthermore, UNIRAJ has received the UGC’s “University with Potential for Excellence” award.
The university has a total of 19 research centers across all faculties. The institution comprises 35 departments, 615 associated colleges, and 711 academic members.

Campuses
UNIRAJ campus is a centralized campus in Jaipur that has 300 acres of land.
The facilities include 19 dorms that can accommodate hundreds of students from India and outside, a central library, a contemporary sports complex, a Psychological Counselling Centre, and medical facilities, among others.
UNIRAJ also includes a student welfare division that provides guidance and support to students in their entire academic development.
Courses
UNIRAJ offers courses in engineering, management, education, finance, physical education, science, commerce, and law, among others.
The institution provides over 197 undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and diploma courses. The institution offers a variety of main courses, including BTech+MTech, MBA, MCA, MCom, BA, LLB, LLM, and BCom.
UNIRAJ’s Centre for Converging Technologies offers BTech+MTech programs in four converging technology streams.
Recently, the university created a new structure for UG programs to implement NEP 2020. UNIRAJ fees range from Rs 36,640 to Rs 4,40,000 for university programs.
Admissions
UNIRAJ admissions for the school year 2024 are expected to commence in May 2024. Admission to the university is based on national-level entrance exam scores.
For example, the BTech + MTech integrated program accepts JEE Main and Advanced scores, but the BVSc program accepts NEET UG scores.
Furthermore, admission to BA LLB is predicated on the university’s entrance exam, the RULET. UNIRAJ PG entrance is mostly based on the university’s URAT PG program.
However, the institution administers the PIM MAT for admission to its MBA programs, administered under the R. A. Podar Institute of Management.
Students should be aware that admission to UG programs is determined by the candidate’s performance in the most recent qualifying exams.
